Welcome to the New Ham Radio Today!

We're excited to announce the launch of our completely redesigned Ham Radio Today website! This has been a labor of love, and we can't wait to share all the improvements with our community of amateur radio enthusiasts.
What's New?
A Fresh, Modern Design
The first thing you'll notice is our clean, modern interface. We've moved away from the old Squarespace platform and built something custom that better serves the ham radio community. The site now features:
- Dark and Light themes - Switch between modes based on your preference or let it follow your system settings
- Improved readability - Better typography and spacing make our articles easier to read
- Mobile-first design - Whether you're at the shack or out in the field, the site looks great on any device
Accessibility Features
We know that many hams have been at this hobby for decades, and we wanted to make sure everyone can enjoy our content comfortably. That's why we've added:
- Adjustable font sizes - Use the T-/T+ buttons in the header to increase or decrease text size
- High contrast modes - Our dark and light themes both offer excellent readability
- Persistent preferences - Your font size and theme choices are saved automatically
Better Performance
The new site is built on modern technology that makes everything faster:
- Faster page loads - No more waiting for heavy pages to load
- Optimized images - Photos from our POTA activations and equipment reviews load quickly without sacrificing quality
- Instant navigation - Moving between pages feels snappy and responsive
What Stays the Same
Don't worry - while the look is new, everything you love about Ham Radio Today is still here:
- All your favorite content - Every blog post, field report, and equipment review has been migrated
- Same great authors - David WK4DS and Aaron KV9L are still bringing you regular updates
- Focus on POTA, CW, and QRP - Our passion for Parks on the Air activations, Morse code, and low-power operations continues
Coming Soon
This launch is just the beginning. We have exciting plans for the future:
- Enhanced search functionality to find exactly what you're looking for
- More interactive features for the community
- Additional resources for new hams getting started
